Event Description

Our annual fundraiser, the Edible Pedal 100®, is a century ride- an organized road bike ride (not a race), with rest stops every 12-20 miles.

Offering five ride lengths:

  • 10 miles
  • 32 miles (Carson Cruiser)
  • 54 miles
  • 74 miles (Dean's Dream)
  • 150K (93.2 mile)

The Edible Pedal is a recreational yet challenging ride that showcases Northern Nevada with beautiful ride routes and scenic ride stops. We stage from Bowers Mansion Regional Park in Washoe Valley, Nevada. Where possible we feature locally sourced food at the rest stops and post-ride barbecue. Ride stops are staffed with culinary arts students from local high schools, local bike mechanics, HAM radio operators and of course, friendly Rotarians.

The Edible Pedal 100® offers something for every rider. Families with young children and cyclists seeking a taste of an organized ride will relish the leisurely 10-mile route through picturesque Washoe Valley. Those interested in a respectable ride will like the 50-mile loop, which includes a trek along bucolic country drives and through historic towns like Carson City and Genoa. Serious roadies ready for a solid challenge will be thrilled with the 150K (93.2 mile) ride, which features a lung-searing, thigh-burning, climb from Carson Valley up Kingsbury Grade to Lake Tahoe.

Participants enjoy mouthwatering local food and drink sourced by local farmers, ranchers, vintners, brewers, bakers, and other food artisans.
