Event Description
Note: this is NOT the Memorial Day event. This is a makeup event for those who missed 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017 race and want to qualify for the Joint Chiefs of Staff medal in 2018. Participants will receive the 2014/2015/2016/2017 event t-shirt and finisher's medal, while supplies last. The event starts and finishes at the Laguna Hills Community Center. The 5K course will run along the bike path. It will be gun timed. You cannot qualify for more than one year at a time.

Don't forget to register for the 2018 Memorial Day event as well in order to qualify - 5K, 10K and Half Marathon distances all count towards the series medal!
Event details and schedule
- The Recon Retread requires a minimum donation of $5 to either the 3rd Battalion 5th Marines 1st Division Support Committee or Strength in Support. The 3/5 Support Committee helps local Camp Pendleton Marines and their families and Strength is Support helps veterans transition back into civilian life after active duty. Your donation will help those who have made the commitment to defend our country.
