Event Description
March for Marrow LA 2018 will be our 9th annual 5K run at Shoreline Village. As our major promoter, Mia Hamm of the US Women’s National Team says, “This run is perfect for the new and seasoned runner. The course is scenic, flat and fast.” We’ll run south along the beautiful Long Beach Shoreline and back.
Mia runs this race in memory of her older brother and mentor, Garret John Hamm.
Prizes will be provided by Brooks Running Shoes, Runner’s High and NIKE. In addition, there will be awards for the top three running categories for each age group and participant medals for everyone. Everyone gets a Goody Bag.
This year we are offering the opportunity for all runners to form a team and add to the competitive spirit that our patients show every day as they live with bone marrow failure diseases.
