Event Description

Enjoy a spring bike ride on beautiful country roads through picturesque Williamson County, sponsored by Rentsch Brewery, Georgetown SERTOMA Club, Sun City Cyclists, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center, and the Georgetown Cyclopaths.  With five well-supported routes of 12 miles (Family Circle), 29 miles, 40 miles, 62 miles and 100 miles (precise mileage to be announced), there's something for everyone.  All routes pedal through moderately flat terrain interspersed with rolling hills on the eastern side of Williamson County.

The Red Poppy Ride benefits the SERTOMA Scholarship Program for Georgetown ISD, the Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center, and the Georgetown Police Department's Bicycle Program.

Rentsch Brewery is Georgetown's first brewery and we are dedicated to supporting our local community. Rentsch's production process is powered entirely by solar and wind, making it 100% renewable - one of only a handful in the world. We are all about the beergarden life where friends, family and community can come together to enjoy eachothers company.

SERTOMA means Service to Mankind.  Our club is dedicated to helping people in our community.  SERTOMA Club of Georgetown, a 501c(3) organization, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our national heritage.  SERTOMA's primary service project is assisting the people of Williamson County with speech, hearing, and language disorders.

The Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center exists to provide a child-friendly, safe place to disclose child abuse, reduce the emotional trauma for children and non-offending family members, and extend professional services that protect the integrity of an investigation.

Sun City Cyclists' mission is to share the joy of bicycle riding on the streets and roads of our community, city, county, and state, and to meet and join other cyclists for fellowship and social activities.

Georgetown Cyclopaths are a group of road cyclists who ride for pure enjoyment. The group was founded in 1989, based on the shared belief that no rider should be left behind.  We stick together for a fun, relaxing group experience
