Event Description
Kickoff your Independence Day celebration with the 44th Annual run through the historic town of Coronado. Crown City Classic features a 12K and 5K distance. Why a 12K distance? Because nothing is more patriotic than running 7.4 miles on 7/4 in one of America’s most patriotic cities!
NEW IN 2018! Crown City Mile on Orange Avenue! After runners complete their 12K or 5K runs, join the crowds on Orange Avenue before the parade takes off. Looking to break your personal mile record? Why not go for it on the most patriotic mile on the 4th of July? Space is limited – this event will sell out!

- 5:30am - Race Day Registration Opens
- 7:00am - 12K Race
- 7:10am - 5K Race
- 8:30am - Awards
- 9:30am - Crown City Mile: Mens
- 9:35am - Crown City Mile: Womens
- 9:40am - Crown City Youth Mile: Ages 7-17. Participants must be able to run a complete mile.
- 10:00am - Coronado Independence Day Parade
