Event Description

The 1st annual Lake Tahoe Escape Triathlon takes place in the fall and helps round out the domestic triathlon calendar. The clear, blue water of Lake Tahoe will provide scenic views and rolling hills – the perfect ingredients for a very memorable autumn race in the lakeside village of Squaw Valley, Lake Tahoe.  Highlights include a beach start, an altitude bike and run course, and a fun filled finish festival.

The race will feature:

·        Sprint distance: 500-meter swim, 13.1-mile bike, 3.1-mile run

·        Sprint distance Aquabike: 500-meter swim, 13.1-mile bike

·        Olympic distance: 1500-meter swim, 26-mile bike, 6.2-mile   run

·        Olympic distance Aquabike: 1500-meter swim, 26-mile bike

EVENT SCHEDULE & LOCATION

Athletes need to present a photo ID and USAT membership card in order to pick up a packet. If you purchased a one-day USAT membership online during registration it will be on file. There is NO proxy packet pick up. All athletes must come to packet pick up, including each member of a relay team as each relay team member has their own separate packet. Relay teams are not required to all pick up their packets at the same time.

Athlete packet pick up is on Saturday, September 15th. There will be NO race day packet pick up. 

SWIM START

Athletes will self-seed into different groups according to their estimated swim times. Please look for the estimated time swim signs posted in the start area.

PARKING

Please use the following parking lot which located about near the event venue:

On street parking is available in and around the beach area. Please be courteous and do not block any entrances or driveways.

EXPO & PACKET PICK-UP

The Lake Tahoe Escape Triathlon Expo will be the center of attraction on Saturday September 15, 2018 from 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
