Event Description

One of the fastest 5Ks in the West! This pancake-flat, fast course provides the perfect opportunity for a 5K PR.

NEW this year: "The Mommy Mile". This is a one mile race for everyone. The idea is for moms/dads and children to run and cross the finish line together. All women will receive a special finisher's prize that their children can give them! Children 10 and under are FREE.

Note: All parents are welcome to run with a child, regardless of being a biological parent or not. 

Proceeds from the event will benefit Pima Community College Cross-country Team!

This race is part of The Running Shop Grand Prix, produced by SAR.

Event details and schedule

The Tucson 5000 will be held on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 in the South-West portion of Reid Park.

Race day:

Packet pickup/registration = 5:30 AM

5k start = 7:00 AM.  

Mommy Mile = 8:15 AM.
