Event Description

The 2018 Mesa County Glow N Games helps support Special Olympics Colorado. This is a fun family event that includes an individual 5K, a Team CrossFit Challenge, and a Team Bearcat Pull! It's all a part of Police Week. Join us as we honor our local law enforcement and help raise money for Special Olympics! You can sign up for one event, two, all three or just cheer on the participants! The Bearcat Pull is FREE with the 5K or CrossFit Team Challenge! 

Event details and schedule

This event is held at Long's Park, starting at 5:30pm on 5/18/18. There is limited parking on the North side of the park (3118 F Rd) and more parking on the South side (3117 E 1/2 Rd) or at Central High School. In conjunction with the events, there will also be National Police Week events to include a Touch-a-Truck for the kids, and a Police Memorial Vigil before the Glow N Games events begin.  All proceeds are donated to Special Olympics Colorado.

Festivities at Long Family Memorial Park start at 5:30 pm with a Touch-a-truck event for the kids. 

Packet pickup starts at 5:30 pm

6:30 -7:00 pm Police Memorial Vigil 

*Note no registration or packet pickup will occur during the Police Memorial Vigil from 6:30-7:00pm. 

7:15 pm CrossFit and Bearcat Pull events begin. Teams participating in both will start with CrossFit.

9:00 pm Glow 5k Starts!

The 5K Glow Run or Walk is a great event to participate with the whole family! This is a night event so neon colors, glow sticks, and headlamps are encouraged! Registration includes color powder packs that glow at stations placed throughout the course! 

The CrossFit Team Challenge is not just for CrossFit enthusiasts, but for any team of four up for a physical challenge! This year's CrossFit style workout is police themed! 

The Bearcat Pull is an event like no other! Where else will you and your teammates get to pull our armored SWAT vehicle?! This event has been a Police Week tradition for Law Enforcement for years and now it is available to the public! It's not just about strength, but strategy too!! Gloves are recommended.
