Event Description
Sofia Caroline Milstead was a 2015 graduate of Lynden High School. She played soccer, ran track, and was a basketball cheerleader. She was also active in FFA, ASB and Young Life. Sofia was known for her competitive drive, beautiful smile and loyal heart. She was free-spirited and full of life, making friends wherever she went. Her passing,on July 30, 2015, was a devastating blow to everyone who ever had the pleasure of knowing her.
It is the goal of The Sofia Milstead Foundtion to establish a legacy in Sofia's name by providing scholarships to Graduating Lynden High School students, helping to pay for Whatcom County Youth to attend Young Life's "Camp Malibu," and providing equipment needs for students and/or the teams and clubs that Sofia participated in. All proceeds from the run and raffle will go to The Sofia Milstead Foundation to help establish these goals.
