Event Description
The San Antonio RoadRunners invite women of all ages to join us in the 39th Annual Women's 5K Run/Walk and 10K. This empowering all-female event is designed to connect and celebrate the San Antonio sisterhood of women and girls through fitness and fun.
The SARR Women's 5K, originally titled the Women's Distance Festival, was part of a national movement to celebrate women's running and to publicize the fact that women did not compete in the same distance events as men in the Olympics. The Olympics now have a women's event in the marathon, 10K, and 5K. This local event continues to celebrate and promote women's running and walking.
Pre-race and post-race activities are held in the parking lot of the Shops at Lincoln Heights. The chip-timed course runs through the roads of Alamo Heights.
Awards will be given to 5K Run & Walk Overall winner, top 3 finishers in each 5-year age group from 9 & under to 80+ based on chip time. Awards will be given to 10K Overall winner and 10 year increments for age-group awards, based on chip time. Everyone will receive a finisher medal!

Packet pick-up will be from noon to 6 p.m. on July 13, 2018 outside on the side of the HEB #43, Lincoln Heights, 999 E. Basse Rd. or on race day.
