Event Description
We've had so much fun with the Ice Cream Social on Roosevelt Island that we decided to bring it home to Brooklyn for a sweet June evening in Prospect Park. Join us for an evening 5K, a soft serve cone, and a real nice time overall. This race is currently capped at 500 participants, so we recommend you register early.

COURSE
The race will start and finish near the entrance to Wellhouse Drive not far from the LeFrak Center, Oriental Pavilion, and Smorgasburg. We will provide a course map very soon.
AMENITIES
Bag check and toilets will be provided. Water will be available on the course, and in addition to ice cream, fresh fruit and more will make up the usual great NYCRUNS post race spread to greet you at the finish line. Free finish line photos and video will be available on the results page. The giveaway for this race will be a tech t-shirt*.
*Sizes are guaranteed – if we don’t have your size at the race, email theteam@nycruns.com within two days of the race and we’ll ship your shirt to you. Make sure to include the race name, your name, size and shipping address. Shipping to domestic US addresses only.

BIB MAILING
Bib mailing is available for this race for participants registered through 5/17. You must choose this option when registering and the bib must be mailed to the address you choose then. Shipping to domestic US addresses only. The cost is $15.00. Note: Shirts will not be mailed. They will be available for pickup before or after the race.

RESULTS, AWARDS, FINISH LINE PHOTOS & VIDEO
Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall. Age group awards in the 5K will be awarded to the top three in each the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 and over. Our awards policies are available here.
Finish line photos and video will also be available on the results page. These may not be published for several days.

DIRECTIONS
The closest subway is the B/Q at Prospect Park. The F to 15th Street & 2/3 to Grand Army Plaza are also less than a mile away.

POLICIES
The standard no-refunds, no-deferrals, no-transfers policy applies, unless you are signed up for the NYCRUNS Membership Program. NYCRUNS members receive a 10% discount, race deferral rights, and other perks. Strollers or dogs are not allowed in NYCRUNS races and you may be disqualified if earbuds or headphones hinder your awareness. You must remain on pace to finish within the time limit in order to receive course support and an official finish time.
