Event Description

The Whipple City 5K  and 10K Race are a family oriented run/walk through the beautiful village and farmland in Greenwich, NY.  The race helps to kick off the Greenwich Chamber of Commerce's Whipple City Festival held in a nearby park.  The race is a gentle upslope out and a quick downslope back both starting and ending in front of the Greenwich Central Middle School.  Water and light refreshments available after the race.  Prizes are awarded to the male and female overall winners.  A portion of the proceeds supports the Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Scholarship for Greenwich Central School. 

There is a 1K Fun Run for children 12 and under after the race.  All children participating in the fun run will receive a participant ribbon.

Race begins at 8:30 am

1K Fun Run immediately following the end of the 5K (approx. 9:30 am)
