Event Description
The 27th annual Orange County Race for the Cure will be held at Fashion Island, Newport Beach on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018.
The Race is Susan G. Komen Orange County’s signature fundraising event to provide local breast health services and fund national breast cancer research. 75% of the funds raised at this event funds local breast health outreach, mammography for uninsured women in need, and support for local women while in cancer treatment. 25% of the funds raised go directly into the Komen Global Breast Cancer Research Fund.
Our Race features:
o Two 5K races with loads of course entertainment
o Survivor Parade and Tribute Ceremony
o Race Expo, Food and Entertainment
o Team Tailgate – fun space for teams to meet and celebrate!
Event Time
- Registration opens at 6:30 AM
- First 5k starts at 7:15 AM
- Second 5k starts at 9.45am
- Event end time: 12 noon
