NOTICE:  Due to high registration for the youth events the following T-shirt sizes are SOLD OUT!  YOUTH MEDIUM & YOUTH LARGE.   

NATIVE AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP 5K

 The Native American National Championship division is open to Native American tribal members of the U.S. & First Nations people of Canada. You must be able to provide proof of tribal membership if requested. (You can’t be entered into this division and the Open Community run)

AWARDS to overall Male & Female finishers and top 5 in each age division

 Children:                    Ages  0-10                    

Youth:                       Ages  11-14                 

Young Adults:            Ages  15-19            

Open:                        Ages  20-39                    

Masters:                    Ages   40 -59                

Grand Masters:          Ages 60 & up

NM USATF ASSOCIATION STATE CHAMPIONSHIP

  

THIS EVENT SERVES AS THE USATF NEW MEXICO ASSOCIATION 5K Road State Championhship. There is no additional fee to be eligible for this division but must meet the following criteria.

You must have a 2018 USATF NM Association membership to enter this division

 There will also be a FREE 300 meter toddlers race that doesn't require registration sign up, however prior to the run a waiver will have to be signed by a legal guardian or parent.

EVENT SCHEDULE:


Registration closes for ALL events at 7:30 am on race day NO EXCEPTIONS.

1 & 2 Mile Fitness Walks                    7:30 a.m.

5K Runs (All Divisions)                       8:00 a.m.

1K Youth Run                                    9:00 a.m.

Toddler 300 meter dash                    9:10 a.m.

Honoring of Individuals                     9:20 a.m.

Awards                                            9:45 a.m.

Traditional Pueblo Throw 10:30 a.m.

(All participants, families and friends are invited to the throw)

COURSE INFORMATION:

The course is two, 1 1/2 mile loops, on paved ashphalt.  The course is considered one of the flatest and fastest courses at altitude,with a total elevation change of 13 feet for the entire race.  The course will produce fast times. This event is sanctioned and eligible for New Mexico 5K state records.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION:

If you need to register or pick up your packet(s) you will need to go to the SIPI gym.

Closest/best parking is in the SIPI Administration parking lot very close to the start, finish.  Early arrival is encouraged as there is limited parking in that area. Additional and overflow parking will be at the SIPI Sciene and Technology buildinig or near the dorms.  These parking areas will add 5-10 minutes to your arrival at packet pick up, restrooms, and starting line.

ARRIVE EARLY:

Fifthteen (15) minutes prior start of the 5K run, traffic will be re-routed to the north end of campus. This will add 10 minutes to getting to the race start line. 

Please allow plenty of time for parking and packet pick up.  Please note, registration closes 30 minutes prior to each race, NO EXCEPTIONS.  Early Registration is also encouraged.

There will be no portable toliets at the start.  Restrooms are located in the gym both upstairs and downstairs.
