Event Description

Spend an hour Saturday morning on a 5K run through La Veta, located in the Cuchara Valley at the base of the Spanish Peaks! All proceeds to go Two Peaks Fitness, a 501(3)(3) charity.

Event details and schedule

Packet pickup begins at 8:30 just across the street from the Ryus Avenue Bakery, and the run starts at 9 am. Parking is available on Ryus Avenue and on Moore Avenue (Moore Avenue is north of the Town Park).

Fee: $20

The temperature should be comfortable for wearing jogging shorts, but be sure to check the weather forecasts for the possibility of rain, although rain is more likely in the late afternoon in the morning.

The route starts at the town park on Ryus Ave, goes west to Oak Street, then south to Garland Turn left (east) on Garland, cross Main St (Highway 12), and take your first right on Birch St. Head south on Birch, which turns into CR 360/361 until the turning point. Turn around to go north on 361, running all the way down Birch until you get to Ryus, Turn left and run two blocks to end back at the park.

The run will be held rain or shine and there are no refunds or roll fowards to future runs. If you can't make it, someone else can take your place, or we will postal mail your packet for $6.00.
