Event Description

The Race to Read will benefit the Cairo-Durham Imagination library.  This program, sponsored by Resurrection Lutheran Church, has provided over 6000 free books to 400+ preschool children in the Cairo-Durham School District.  For more information on the imagination library or to register a child, go to www.imaginationlibrary.com.  

Event details and schedule

Registration will begin at 7:30 am at the pavilion.  The course which goes through the park out on to Main St. in Cairo and back into the park is mostly flat with a couple of small inclines.  The race will begin at 9 am.  Following the race there will be refreshments and prizes for male and female winners in 6 age categories.
