Event Description

2ND Annual ~ This event is a fun charity 5K Walk/Run to honor Troy Kenneth Merkle (TK). A sweet little boy who touched so many hearts and got his wings too soon.  TK had Alagille Syndrome and did not survive the liver transplant surgery.  Alagille Syndrome is an autosomal dominant disorder associated with abnormalities of the liver, heart, skeleton, eye and kidneys.  It is very rare, effecting approximately 1 in 100,000 live births. The severity of the disorder can vary from mild to severe. 100% of the net proceeds will be given to the American Transplant Foundation to support families going through a transplant.
