Event Description
Why We Run
Brain cancer is the leading cause of cancer related deaths in children. Every day, 43 children are diagnosed with cancer. Children who survive cancer suffer late effects from the harsh and outdated treatment on their growing brains and bodies such as secondary cancers, serious cognitive impairment, and heart failure.
Sawyer Davidson was an 8 year old second grader at Westlake Academy when he passed away in December 2016 from medulloblastoma brain cancer. Let's join together to help the next child.
Beneficiary
100% of the net proceeds will be given to The University of Florida Foundation – McKnight Brain Institute. Funds will be restricted to the Pediatric Brain Tumor Immunotherapy Program. The UF Foundation is a non-profit, 501c3 organization (Tax ID #59-0974739).

About Color Runs
Color runs are typically a 3-mile event with 1-3 stations along the race route where participants are showered with colored powder made of cornstarch. Walk in with your free white t-shirt by registering early and leave with a colored one! Don't want to be showered with color? That's fine too, just move around the color stations.
Virtual Runners
If you are not local but would like to participate in raising funds for pediatric brain cancer research, register as a virtual runner and choose a 1 mile or 5K course on your own.
When you have completed your Virtual Run, update your Facebook and Instagram status to let your friends and family know of your accomplishment! Add the hashtag: #beatkidsbraincancer.
We will mail your t-shirt to the address provided through online registration.
