Event Description

On Monday, January 21, 2019, join us at 9 a.m. as we celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.  Day in this non competitive 5K walk/run recognizing The Clearwater MLK Jr. Neighborhood Center Coalition in Clearwater directed by Anthony Burney.

The 5K will begin and end just west of the tennis courts under the Memorial Bridge Helix with check in beginning at 8 a.m. on Monday 1/21/2019  in the grassy area (across the street from Coachman Park).  The 5K run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. and one mile runners and walkers will be released just a few minutes after our 5K gets underway.

The course will remain entirely on the fully paved Memorial Trail with participants being released in waves to comfortably complete their 5K distance beginning and ending in the grassy area next to the tennis courts. The 5K will be electronically scored but the one mile is a finisher’s walk or run only with no times being recorded.

All sponsorships from the Dream 5K Clearwater are to be paid to The Clearwater MLK Jr. Center Neighborhood Coalition

Remember to take Monday, January 21, 2019, morning off of work if you don’t already have this day off to celebrate this first time MLK DREAM 5K.

All registered finisher’s will receive the awesome and substantial DREAM Clearwater finisher's medal that we hope you will keep forever as a reminder of the strength we have when we unite as one. We hope that you will join us for this day of celebration of freedom, love, and inclusion for all. Event t-shirts can be purchased online or at the race venue for $10 while supplies last.
