Event Description
The Parkland Cross Country team members and booster club would like to invite you to our second annual Trojan 5K Run/Walk fundraiser on August 19th, 2018. This Run/Walk race is open to ages 10 and above regardless of skill level. There will also be a free kids run for kids ages 9 and below. The race will be held at Parkland high school, on a new and improved course. You will be inspired during the run by the cheering of our very own Parkland Cross Country team members throughout the course.
Last year we awarded over $1,800 in prizes for various race categories. This year we have a few new prize categories including the fastest Parkland Staff Member. For the low price of $20, you can help support our Trojans while enjoying a morning of family fun. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help our cross country teams get the necessary funding for supplies and race entry fees that are not provided by the school district.
- Bib pickup will be on the day of the run, Sunday, August 19th at 7:30 AM till 8:45 AM
- Race day registration will be available from 7:30 AM till 8:30 AM at a cost of $25 cash only.
- Awards will be given at the conclusion of the run.
- There will be no strollers allowed due to the terrain on the course.
- There will be a free kids run for children 9 and under that will start shortly before the main run starts. Aproximently 8:45 AM
- Registration for kids run will be on race day.
- Parkland High School Cross Country team members are not allowed to participate due to a conflict with 2018 season training schedule. Parkland middle school cross country members are strongly encouraged to participate in this race.
