Event Description
A full timed and chipped 5K for both runners and walkers, the Gutchess Hardwoods 5K Banana Run presented by Excela Health is a part of the Valley Dairy Great American Banana Split Celebration in Latrobe, PA. Unique medals and t-shirts will be given out. Race bibs provided by Planet Fitness. This race uses a route similar to Latrobe's Turkey Trot 5K Route, located in historical downtown Latrobe, and finished in Latrobe Memorial Stadium at the MedExpress Finish Line. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners (Male & Female) overall and for each age bracket at the People's Natural Gas Awards Ceremony.
Age Brackets for this race will be:
- 10 and under
- 11-15
- 16-19
- 20-29
- 30-39
- 40-49
- 50-59
- 60+
The Valley Dairy Great American Banana Split Celebration is a 3-day community event celebrating the invention of the banana split in Latrobe, PA in 1904. Hosted in downtown Latrobe August 24-26, 2018, the event features vendors, food, entertainment, music, children's activities, and more!
