Event Description

Do right, join the fight! 

• Be The Match® Walk+Run is a fundraising event that helps patients with blood cancers like leukemia find a marrow donor and receive a life-saving transplant.
• Every three minutes someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. It can happen to anyone at any time. But so can a cure – a marrow transplant. The cure for blood cancer is in the hands of ordinary people.
• The majority of patients don’t have a fully matched donor in their family and so Be The Match helps match volunteer unrelated marrow donors with those patients who need them.
• Visit BeTheMatchWalkRun.org to register, fundraise and volunteer. Each participant 18 years of age and older, must complete their own registration and liability waiver. 

100% of event net proceeds raised help more patients afford transplant, add potential marrow donors to the registry and fund our life-saving research. 

Event details and schedule

7:30 a.m. – Event Village opens
7:30 a.m. – Registration/Packet Pickup opens
7:30 a.m. – Be The Match Registry Drive opens
8:15 a.m. – Marrow/PBSC Donor & Transplant Recipient/Patient photo (at stage)
8:30 a.m. – Welcome Program and Top Fundraising Awards
8:45 a.m. – Tot Trot
9:00 a.m. – 5K
9:05 a.m. – 1K

Once running results are final, winners will be announced and prizes will be available for pickup at the Information Tent.

Specialty bibs are available for marrow donors, transplant recipients and supporters who are participating in honor or memory of a special person. Pick up your bib at the Be The Match Tent in the Event Village.
