Event Description

A 5K fun run in Plattsburgh New York, just nearly sundown on a bike path and neighboring streets near Lake Champlain.  A 1 mile kids fun run is also part of the fun, as well as walkers on the race course!  The race supports the Third Age Adult Day Program in Plattsburgh NY, which services people with Alzheimer's and other dementias.  The proceeds become part of a larger donation made on the day of the Alzheimer's Walk in September.   The proceeds from the Run to Remember are given to the Plattsburgh Alzheimer's Walk team, Ellen's Rebellion.

The Run to Remember is coordinated in memory of Doug Hoffman, who lost his young life to Alzheimer's, at the age of 67,  and in honor of Ellen Cronk, living with dementia, a participant of the Third Age Adult Day Program, and being cared for by her family.  The race coordinators welcome you to join us for this event.
