Event Description

Join us on August 11th, 2018 at 10:00 AM for a Fun Run Walk Stroll Hop or however you like to move that celebrates the amazing community we live in from the state capitol to the most southern tip of Puget Sound. The event is not a traditional 5K run, but rather 3.8 miles of traversing the Capitol grounds seeing the amazing artwork, horticulture and architecture, crossing the pedestrian bridge back to the switchback that will take participants around Capitol Lake and back to the finish in front of the Capitol Dome.  

This family and pet friendly event is the re-designed Capitol to Bay Relay adventure race.  Maintaining our focus on the amazing environment and community we live in, but on a smaller more accessible scale for people of all ages.  

The event will have traditional prizes for those who finish in the top 3 of each age group and some not traditional prizes for participants who choose to participate in our Capitol facts quiz at the end of the race.  

Event details and schedule

Event starts at 10:00 AM in front of the Capitol Steps, we will not be doing a staggered start, rather asking participants to line up according to their desire to run, walk or wander

Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM and continue right up until the race begins

Please park legally in the open Capitol parking lots, in the Capitol Lake lots or street parking

There will be a porta potty, but running water is not readily available on the Capitol grounds, make sure you bring a water bottle, there will be a water station at the base of the switch back for mid-race hydration
