ABOUT THE RACE:
Welcome to the Las Montanas FunRacer! A family-friendly event that even the dog can participate. In fact, we encourage you to bring your four-legged friends. The Las Montanas FunRacer is a scenic trail race nestled in the Cibola National Forest in Placitas, just north of Albuquerque. This event has something for everyone. There are three distances to choose from: 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K. There are events for the kids, and you can even bring your dog along for the 1 Mile or 5K. If you're looking to record your finish time, choose from the 5K Timed or 10K Timed Run. The course is a well-maintained wide forest road with breathtaking views of the Sandia Mountains and unobstructed views of the westside. It is welcoming for the new runner, while offering enough difficulty for the elite. End your race with water and snacks, and be sure to visit our vendors.

COURSE:
This is a beautiful trail race on the well-maintained Forest Loop Road 445 in the Cibola National Forest along NM Highway 165 in Placitas. There are several distance options including a 1 Mile, 5K, and 10K. The 1 mile and 5K courses are an out and back, while the 10K is a loop along the trail.
PARKING:
Parking is available on highway 165 and nearby shopping centers. Car pooling is strongly encouraged. Look for parking volunteers to assist you.
SHIRTS:
Race shirts are guaranteed to those who register by September 8th. All others will choose from any remaining shirts on a first come first serve basis starting at Packet Pickup. Shirt sizes are Youth Small - Medium, Women Small - XXL, and Men Small - XXL.
