Event Description

The Ponder Volunteer Fire Department is ROARIN' and ROLLIN' with PRIDE as it heads out on fire and medical calls to help the citizens of Ponder, and it's surrounding areas, on what is most often their worst days. The men and woman who make up the PVFD spend countless hours on those calls, and in training learning and preparing to do whatever is necessary when the bell tolls. These are men and women who have been called to this, and feel it is their responsibility. They do what they do out of the love in their hearts for the job and their neighbors, without pay, and in addition to their full-time jobs. 

Because the PVFD is one of only two remaining all VOLUNTEER departments in Denton County, they rely completely on grants and the support from you, our neighbors, to provide for the equipment and training necessary to be successful in the saving of lives and property - their mission for every call. 

Come out and join us for a fun morning of fellowship and exercise! Meet the men and women of the department, learn about the equipment, and tour the station so many call their second home. **Don't want to wake up so early? Join us as a ghost runner and make a donation!

Parking is available on Bailey in our historic Down Town (check out the marker before walking over to the fire station!) and at the Eddy Deussen Park.
