Event Description

Youth cross country meet for ages 3 to 18.  Athletes will compete in 2 year age groups.  Boys and Girls run in separate races (unless number of competing athletes justify combining races)  awards would still be given based on gender and age.   Age based on the athlete's age on the day of the meet.

Electronic (FAT) timing will be used to time and score athletes.

Distance of race will depend on age. (Age is based on the Athlete’s age at end of calendar year). Ages 3-6 (1K)*; Ages 7-8 (2K); 9-12 (3k); 13-18 (4K)

    * Designated race officials will run with & guide athletes in the 3-6 age divisions.

In each age division, girls will race first and the boys in that division will follow.

Race Times: 9:00 am (Ages 3-4); 9:30 am (Ages 5-6); 10:00 am (Ages 7-8); 10:30 am (Ages 9-10); 11:30 am (Ages 11-12); 12:00 pm (Ages 13-14); 12:30 (Ages 15-16); 1:00 pm (Ages 15-18).

Medals for top three finishers in each age group and gender.  

Team awards for top two teams in each age group and gender.  Maximum runners on team is 7, with top 5 runners in team scored.  A club or team may enter multiple teams for scoring.

Races will be run on natural grass.

Meet is capped at the first 250 athletes to register.

Admission is free for spectators.

*Athletes should plan to be at the course at least 1/2 hour before start time for bib pick-up and warm-up.
