Event Description

 

Bring out your 2-wheelers, tricycles, or unicycles and join us for the fifth annual Whiting, Hammond, Highland, and Munster Midnight Bike Ride.

Enjoy a ride through Hammond, Whiting, Highland, and Munster's beautiful neighborhood bike paths and city streets.

Start and end at Hammond iconic Wolf Lake Pavilion, ride along the majestic shores of Lake Michigan, and enjoy the tranquility of both Wolf and George Lake. See firsthand, Hammond, Whiting, Munster, and Highland's spectacular parks and neighborhoods, ride through historic Downtown Whiting and Hammond, and pass Oil City Stadium, home of the Northwest Indiana Oilmen. Those ride the long route will enjoy a rest stop at Cabela's, World's Foremost Outfitter before they meander through Wicker Park and Munster's beautiful neighborhoods.

Go at your own pace-it's not a race. Don't think you can handle 30 miles on a bike? Do our 10 mile short route.

If you're doing the long route, GoodSpeed Cycles will be at the Cabela's stop to check your bike.

Team option- Teams of ten or more riders get a discount! Register your team in person and each rider receives $5 off their registration.

Day-of registration is from 9:00 pm-11:30 pm at the Pavilion at Wolf Lake

All riders must check in at the Wolf Lake Pavilion prior to 11:30 pm.

Ride kicks off at Midnight (technically August 14).

Riders will enjoy a 30 or 10-mile scenic route.

It will take 2-4 hours on average to complete the long route. The short route shouldn't take longer than an hour.

All participants riding the long route must complete the short route portion by 1:30 am.

Those riding the long route can enjoy a rest stop at the half-way point, sponsored and hosted by Cabela's Outfitters.

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED

REGISTER BY AUGUST 1ST TO GUARANTEE SHIRT AND SIZE.

Ample free on site parking availble.

Riders must wear a helmet and have a headlight on their bikes.
