Event Description

The Dubois County Youth Triathlon is hosted by DC Multisport, a welcoming camaraderie-filled organization that fosters group training, races, education, and recreation opportunities.

Be sure to sign up prior to June 24 for a discounted price for multiple children in one family (triathlon & duathlon events only) and also to be included in a drawing for a Road Bike Giveaway! After June 24, there will be no discounts allowed.

PRICING:
Registered by June 24 - Triathlon $20; Duathlon $20; Team Relay $15 per person/$45 per team
Each Additional Sibling (by June 24) - FOR ALL EVENTS $15 PER PERSON
Registered June 25 - Race Day (no discount for siblings) - Triathlon $30; Duathlon $30; Team Relay $25 per person / $75 per team

TRIATHLON COURSE: The race will begin at 9:00 am EST at the Huntingburg City Pool. The race begins with a swim (length depends on participants age) followed by the bike ride taking the participant on 1 or 2 city streets that will be completely closed for the duration of the event. After biking, the run will take place around the park on grass, blacktop, and dirt paths finishing inside Historic League Stadium. 

DUATHLON COURSE: The Duathlon event will use the same course layout as the Triathlon except that participants will begin with a run around the City Park, followed by a bike ride, and finish with a final run around the City Park. Distances for each leg are determined by the age of the participant. Click here for map of course.

TEAM RELAY COURSE: The team relay is comprised of 3 youth participants, 1 swimmer, 1 cyclist, & 1 runner that will follow the same course as the triathlon participants. The team may be comprised of all girls, all boys, or coed. The distances are determined by the oldest participant on the team. Awards will also be determined by the oldest participant on the team as of December 31, 2018. Click here for map of course.

TRAINING: A FREE training program for anyone interested will be offered at the Huntingburg City Pool - on July 8 & 15 at 10 am Eastern Time. Each session will last about an hour and educate kids on how to prepare for a triathlon/duathlon.

DISTANCES: Age determined by what the youth will be by 12/31/2018.
