Event Description

 

USATF Certificate: This event can be used as a Boston Marathon qualifier. The USATF certificate ID# is OH14003MW. 

 


Participation Limits: Each individual event has runner limits. Register early for discounted entry fees and best shirt selection.

 


Expo, Late Registration and Pick-up: Friday, September 28th at Mercer County Fairgrounds: 1001 W Market St, Celina, OH 45822, Noon - 7 PM

Race day packet pick up is ONLY available for an extra $10 fee (can be elected at time of registration).  Packet pick up at the Friday expo is the preferred pick up method.  Plan ahead. You MUST have a photo ID to pick up your packet! If someone is picking up your packet, they must a copy of your ID and this Authorization for alternate pick up form.

 


Bib Ship Option: Bibs and runner packets will not be shipped.  If you are not able to make it to the Expo/Packet Pick Up on Friday Sept 28th, race day packet pick up is available for an additional $10 fee.  This fee is non-refundable and packets elected for this race day option WILL NOT be available for pick up on Friday at the expo.

 


Event Start Time: Full Marathon and Full Marathon Relay begin at 7:15am in Celina, Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relays begin at 8:45am in St Marys.  The 5K will begin at 8:00am in Celina.  The Seniors Marathon begins at 9:30am in Celina, and the Kids Run will begin at 1:00pm in Celina.

 


Parking: VERY limited parking is available at Lakeshore Park. Signs will direct you where to park at Lakeshore Park.  Please do not park in any restricted area. Please do not park in Downtown Celina YOU WILL BE TOWED. Please be respectful of municipal lots that are provided to service local business traffic. MAIN AND SUGGESTED PARKING: Ample parking is available at The Mercer County Fairgrounds 1001 W Market Street, Celina. Shuttle buses will take runners and spectators to the race start.


Shuttle Service: Shuttle service will take runners back to the fairgrounds parking at the participants discretion.

 


Costs: Online registration is open. Cost is tiered based on date registered.

 


Timing: Marathon will have split timing points at 6.55 miles, 13.1 miles and 19.65 miles.

 


Event Shirts: Late registrations may get a shirt based on availability.  Exchanges may be available after the race.

 


Gear Check: Gear check will be located at tent near Start/Finish
Items left at Start/Finish after the finish will be donated to C.A.L.L. clothing bank in Celina.

 


Important Course Information: Participants must maintain a reasonable pace along the course (15 Min/mile pace). A follow vehicle will be on course after the park that will maintain a 15 Minute pace.  Participants who fall outside of that pace will be asked to take a sag vehicle to the start/finish area. All aid stations will close in succession with this time plan. The course will be open until 2:00PM

Course Nutrition: On course nutrition for 2018 will be GU gels and GU Brew hydration drink.

Ameneties: Tech-T, Finisher's medal, Window sticker, on course and post race food, beer token and goody bag.

 


Post Race Showers: Available at the Auglaize-Mercer YMCA after the races.

 


Roads will be closed to traffic: Auglaize County Sheriff, Mercer County Sheriff, City of St.Marys police department, City of Celina police department and Ohio State Park Patrol will monitor the course.

 


Spectator Maps: Maps will be provided for spectators to leapfrog the course to view participants.  Please have your support crew be respectful of the enclosure and follow maps provided.

 


Walkers: Walkers are welcome.

 


Wheelchairs: The course will be wheelchair friendly.
