Event Description

5K for Clay is a benefit driven fun run/walk for everyone! In honor of Clay Madsen and the Clay Madsen Recreation Center, our goal is to pass on the hope that CMRC will be a safe place where children and adults learn the leadership and sportsmanship qualities that Clay upheld in his life which was ended by cancer.

Event details and schedule

Awards:
All entrants will receive a dry fit 5K for Clay runners tank; Youth sizes may not be dry fit.  Medallions and prize packages including Fleet Feet Sports Round Rock Gift Certificates are awarded to the top overall male/female.  Medallions will also be awarded to male/female 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each age division.  A varity of prizes for winners will also be presented! 

The awards presentation will begin approximately 45 minutes after the start of the race.  The course will remain open even though the awards presentation has begun. 

Parking:
Limited event parking will be located on site at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center. Additional parking will be available at the Shops of Turtle Creek located one block south from the Recreation Center.  We ask everyone attending the event to always be mindful of safety; use sidewalks and cross walks and be aware of runners/walkers on course. 

Packet Pickup and Chip Timing:
Early Packet Pick up is at the Clay Madsen Recreation Center on August 10 from from Noon to 9 p.m. Participants may also pick up race packets on site on event day.

5K for Clay is a timed event.
