The color powder is FDA approved color dyes and cornstarch. It is biodegradeable. However, it is not advised to swallow or inhale it and you may want to wear a bandana to cover your face. Sunglasses or goggles are recommended to avoid eye contact. You may want to cover your hair or even apply coconut oil, olive oil, or a leave-in conditioner to aid in washing the color out of your hair later.

Though the color will eventually wash out of just about everything, you may not want to bring your Peg Perego Stroller...or your $500 running shoes...or your white suede pants!

After the color run there will be leaf blowers available to stand in front of to blow off excess color powder at our "Color Blower Station" at the post-race festival. Most of the color will evaporate like magical fairy dust.

You may want to bring a change of clothes or towels to put in your car before you get into your car.

Dust any loose powder out of your hair. Rinse out the oil/conditioner you wisely applied before the race with cold water. Most of the color should come right out. Now wash your hair as you normally would. If hints of color are still there, wear it like a badge of honor. Or wear a hat.

The color is probably not coming all the way out of your white cotton shirt and you should be proud of that! Everything else should clean up fine. Remove all excess powder before adding water. Wash your color run gear separately in COLD water. Oxiclean, or a similar product, will work wonders on your running equipment. The color in your white color run t-shirt can be preserved by spraying it with vinegar and letting it air dry.
