Kids will have 25 minutes to complete as many laps as they can and up to 5 minutes after that to complete their last lap. Completion of obstacles (or associated penalties in the event of failure) on the course is mandatory.

Courses each week will be approximately 400 yards long, with 5-10 obstacles. Weeks 1 and 2 will be in the Covered Arena at the Salt Lake County Equestrian Park & Event Center in South Jordan, Utah (this provides some protection from the elements and lighting, but isn't heated, so kids will need to dress according to the weather that day. Weeks 3 and 4 will be in the Indoor Arena, which is covered and climate controlled.

Obstacles include Walls, Monkey Bars (and monkey bar like obstacles), Cargo Nets, Crawls, Carries, etc. Check out our Facebook Page and look at photos to see the types of obstacles that we will be using.

WE DO NOT USE DANGEROUS OBSTACLES. We do not use electrocution, sharp objects, swimming, or other dangerous obstacles. There is always some risk of injury involved with any sport, however, our goal is to provide an athletic challenge to the kids that requires functional movements, not to scare, injure or create an extreme experience.

Kids of all abilities are welcome to participate. We are happy to make accomodations for any kids that have special needs to allow them to participate at a level their abilities will allow. For Open divisions, and especially Open Junior Divisions, parents are allowed to accompany the participants through the course. The obstacles are designed to withstand adult use and are often used by adults at our other events.

WE ALSO NEED VOLUNTEERS!!! All parents who volunteer to help with at least one of the following: setup; race; or takedown will receive a volunteer shirt and a code for a FREE SEASON for their child. If you are willing to volunteer you can register as a volunteer, just select that as your ticket option. You can read our Volunteer Guidelines to answer any questions you might have.
