Event Description

More like an ultra-marathon, this first annual Foy's to Blacktail Trails Marathon will take runners to the top of Blacktail Mountain on the Lakeside to Blacktail Trail, on a loop through the ski area, and then on the newly completed Foy’s to Blacktail trail to the finish line at the pavilion in Herron Park. We will provide shuttle services from the finish line at Herron Park to the start at the trail head for the Lakeside to Blacktail trail.  The race will be capped at 50 participants, and there will be no formal awards, giveaways or other "swag" because of permitting limitations.  Though there will be no charge for this race for the first year, we ask participants to donate an amount that is comparable to races of the same distance (e.g. ~$100) to help cover the costs of putting on a race of this magnitude.  All extra funds will go to Foy's to Blacktail Trails Organization for the development and maintenance of this trail system.
