Event Description
Run for Africa (RFA) supports socioeconomic-impact projects in United States and West Africa. This year's event benefit the Liberia Institute for Girls - Todee (LIG) project in Liberia.
Founded by freed African Americans in the 1800s, Liberia is a tiny West African nation struggling to recover from a 14-year civil conflict (1989-2003), and a deadly Ebola Viral Outbreak (2014-2015).
Event details and schedule
Registration starts at 8am; race begins at 9am on the scenic Kelly Drive near the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Road and Off-street parking available. Travel light and make sure all your belongs are secured in car trunk. Free Run for Africa t-shirts are available at tags pickup (1 Boathouse Road). Free water and bananas are available. The boathouse cafe is few feets from registration.
