Event Description

The students at Lukas will be showing their school spirit by participating in the Skywalker Sprint during their specials on Tuesday, September 20, 2018. This year promises to bring some new and exciting changes for our runners, while keeping many of the traditions that have made our run such a treasured event! This year's run is even more exciting because it will be paying tribute to the 30th anniversary of Lukas Elementary by going old school! The run will be an all 80s theme! Join us to cheer on our runners...but don't forget to wear your best 80s attire!

For those of you that are new to the Lukas community, this event is our main all-school fundraiser. It's so easy and really fun! It's a great chance for our Skywalkers to show their school spirit while raising money for educational wellness initiatives supported by the Skywalker Community Partnership (SCP). In the past, proceeds have been used for laptops, the Lukas marquee sign and many other purchases to benefit our school and children. Last year's money raised was used to break ground on an educational area near the play area. This year, we are raising funds to create a MakerSpace/STEM area at Lukas.
