Event Description

The 14th annual Shelter Shuffle 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, September 22nd on the campus of the former Harrisburg State Hospital (across from the Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg).  Registration begins at 8:00 a.m.  The shuffle starts at 9:00 a.m.  The registration fee is $20 per person if received on or before September 1st ($25 per person if received after September 1st).  Registration is free for participants who collect $50 or more in sponsorships.  All proceeds benefit the Interfaith Shelter for Homeless Families.

All participants who register by September 1st will receive a commemorative event shirt.  Shirts will be available to participants who register after September 1st while supplies last.  Cash prizes will be awarded for the top male and top female runners.  Addition cash awards will be given if there is a new male and/or female course record.  Other awards will be given to runners by age category.  There will also be a door prize raffle for participants after the event.

Runner and walkers of all abilities are welcome.  Participate as an individual or as a group.  Pets and strollers are welcome.
