Event Description
Please join us for the Glenmere Gallop, a casual day of running, beer, and raising money for charity.
Event Overview
The event will begin with a one-hour beer session at the award-winning Glenmere Brewing Company in Florida, NY, one of the best breweries in the Lower Hudson Valley. After some "priming", you'll then run a 5K course out into the black dirt and then back to the brewery, where additional beer awaits you.
Parking
Primary parking for this event is in the brewery parking lot at 55 Maple Avenue (behind the car wash building). Once that lot fills, there is alternate parking as follows:
- in the munical lot located across the street from 7 Maple Avenue
- along Willet St or Jayne St
- in any of the marked space on North Main St (just a few blocks away)

As stated above, the run will start and finish at the brewery. It will begin at approximately 11:00am.

Scoring/Awards
The run is being conducted as an informal run, meaning that it will not be timed or scored. However, since it takes place near the holiday, the event is a running Halloween party, so bring out your best costumes for this one. As awards, a growler of fresh beer will be given to the best male and female costume, as judged by brewery staff.
Event Fees
Beer at the brewery is pay-as-you-go, i.e. cash bar. There is no fee for the run, however, there is a compulsory donation of $20 for each entry. All donations will go the this year's charity, Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties. Let's raise a lot of money for this great organization!
