Event Description

Join us on Saturday, September 29, 2018 for our seventh annual Tommy Mac 5K run and Jay Walk. Proceeds from this year's event will be dedicated to the Connecticut Firefighters Charitable Foundations programs of interest. This will include supporting the Connecticut Firefighters Charitable Foundations Scholarship Fund. This scholarship fund supports the children of Connecticut Firefighters whom have passed. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to a scholarship fund to benefit Caitlyn Carrafiello.
Our 5K run and 5K(3.1mi) Jay Walk (both timed events) will make their way  through the picturesque Lordship section of Stratford, CT. We will also offer a shorter one mile untimed walk for those who’d like to get back to our great food even faster! This one mile option is a perfect distance for families and strollers. Our courses are flat and feature great views of Long Island Sound. Our free Kids Fun Run takes place on the field next to the firehouse. It is designed for 12 year olds and under only, please.
Your run or walk starts and ends at the Stratford Fire Department - Company Three on Prospect Drive in the Lordship section of Stratford. You'll make your way from the "Firehouse to the Lighthouse" and back on our fast, flat and very scenic shoreline course.
After you’re done you’ll be treated to a terrific buffet of food sponsored by the Windmill Restaurant. Grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, pizza, fruit & more will be available for all paid participants. In addition there will be beer for those 21 and over, only.
Pre registration by Sept 15 will guarantee a shirt size. After that date it will be 'as available' so join us now and get it done!
Online registration closes on Weds. Sept 26 at 8pm.
