Event Description

Join Sports Basement for a very special 5K race to raise funds for one of our oldest and dearest partners. All proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF).  BGCSF is committed to inspiring and enabling all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Sports Basement shares this commitment to youth and our communities.  We hope you will join us for this inaugural event.

The course begins and ends across from Sports Basement's flagship store at Crissy Field, offering breathtaking views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the famous San Francisco Bay.

Since this is a Halloween event, we encourage you to run in your craziest costume for a chance to win one of the following contests:

Events

5K Run & Walk - $25 per participant

This 5K event has something for everyone. Go for a win, a personal best or just go out and have some fun in your favorite costume. This event is also open as a fun run or walk. 9:30AM Start.

 

Kids' One Mile Challenge - $10 per youth ages 14 & under 

This event is all about the kids! Each child can complete a 1 mile run/walk. Prizes for every age and for best costumes. 9:00AM Start.

After Party

Meet us at the Pumpkin Patch!

Thanks to Arata's Farm, we'll be hosting a pumpkin patch during our party! The first 150 kids to arrive to the after party will get to choose and carve a pumpkin for free! We'll also have a few barrels of hay, which make perfect backdrops for snapping selfies in your

 

Witches' Brews

Okay, the brews aren't exactly from a witch, but we do think they're pretty magical. Race participants get free beer during the entire after party but those who skipped the run can grab some with a $5 donation to Boys & Girls' Club San Francisco!
