Event Description

Tour Summary:

If you like breathtaking skylines, this tour is for you. We begin the tour by running across history, a 135 year old Neo-Gothic style bridge, originally known as the East River Bridge. At the time, the Brooklyn Bridge was the longest steel cable suspension bridges ever built and its impact on New York and Brooklyn was greater than any other bridge in any other city in the world. You'll learn about the bridge's specs along with the incredible story behind the bridge's designer.

We'll then explore the picturesque streets of Brooklyn Heights which is one of the most affluent neighborhoods in all of New York City that dates back to the early 19th century. You’ll see classic brownstones, townhouses and stable houses. We'll run through NYC's newest parks, Brooklyn Bridge Park which includes winding walking paths, recreational piers with park benches overlooking the harbor and the East River. We'll end in the trendy, historic commercial area called DUMBO which stands for Down Under The Manhattan Bridge Overpass. You are sure to fall in love with Brooklyn and this unforgettable running course.

NOTE: This is not a race. T-Shirts or medals are not included with registration.
