Event Description

Big changes have been made to the 2018 Woodlawn Real Fun Run in only in it’s second year. The event has been moved to a new date, a new venue and new distances. The date for this year’s Real Fun Run is Saturday, October 13, 2018. All 3 runs take placeat Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach, FL. This year, participants will have 3 distances to choose from, 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. All 3 run courses are surrounded by athletic fields, playground area, dog park and native Florida surroundings. The courses are completely flat as you enjoy the native natural surroundings. Water Stations will be available on the courses.

As you approach the finish line you will pass through the line of spectators cheering you on and greeted to music by a live DJ motivating you to cross the finish line. Snacks and drinks will be available at the food tent before and after the race. We welcome all walkers to participate in the 10K, 5K or 1 Mile Real Fun Run as well.

 Pets are allowed under the following restrictions: Pets must be on a leash, pick up after you pet and runners with participating pets must start from the rear of the field.

There will be an awards ceremony after the completion of the 10K, 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run. Awards will be given out to the following age groups: 5K men's & women's overall 5K winners and men's & women's overall Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+), Senior Grandmasters (60+). Custom medals will be awarded to the top 3 men & women's finishers in the following age groups. Under 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+. All participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run will receive a finisher’s award as well.

Event details and schedule

• Manual Registration forms are available at Woodlawn United Methodist Church or downloaded on the church’s web site at http://www.woodlawnpcb.org/. Registration will be available at Friday’s packet pickup and the day of the race.
  

• Pre-Race packet pick-up will be available Friday, October 12, 2018 from 4 PM to 6:30 PM at Woodlawn United Methodist Church located at 219 N. Alf Coleman Rd., Panama City Beach, FL. Race Day packet pick-up will open at 6 AM at Frank Brown Park.
  

• The 10K and 5K run will start at 7:00 AM (CST) Saturday morning. When the 10K & 5K have completed the course we will start the 1 Mile Fun Run.
  

• The awards ceremony will take place after the completion of the 1 Mile Fun Run.
  

• Participants will receive custom design race shirts; 10K runners will receive long sleeve dri-fit shirts; 5K runners will receive 100% cotton long sleeve shirts; 1 Mile runner/walkers will receive 100% cotton short sleeve t-shirt.
  

• Custom made Real Fun Run Special awards and custom made medals for the Real Fun Run will be awarded to male/female in the following divisions; overall Winners, Masters (40+), Grandmasters (50+) and Senior Grandmasters (60+) for the 10K & 5K runs.
  

• Custom made Real Fun Run medals will be awarded to the top 3 men & women's finishers in the following age groups. Under 14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+. All participants in the 1 Mile Fun Run will receive a finisher’s award.
  

• There will be plenty of water stations throughout each course to keep hydrated. 
  

• Pre & Post race snacks and drinks will be available at the food tent.
  

• Live DJ will be taking everyone back to special memories with music from the 80's.
  

• If you really want to step back and remember the 80's, come dressed in your best 80's outfit. There's a rumor going around that there will be a special award for the best overall men's & women's 80's outfit!
