What are Survivors?:The survivors are the runner/walkers that have the goal of getting from one safe house to the other safe house without becoming “Infected”.
Survivors may also choose to have the “Green Experience”. The Green Experience: is the 1 mile Haunted Costume walk where there will be NO zombies, you will not be approached and not persued.
Strollers are allowed as long as the supervising adult is pushing the stroller. No dogs are allowed.
What are Zombies and what are their rules?:
The zombies’ goal is to slowly move and pull the runner/walkers’ caution tape flags as the survivors pass by. Zombies will be preplaced before the start along the course in one of the 8 zombie zones. Zombies can only use 1 arm and 1 leg at a time to move (e.g., drag one leg and use one arm to grab flags of runners going by). This is a fun run/walk and is not competitive and will not be timed. Runner/walkers and Zombies must stay on the designated course—see the course map.
Registration and Where do we pick up t-shirts and race packets?:
Packets and shirts will be available for pick-up at the Medical Office Building on event day (starting at 2pm). Race day registration (at the MOB) starts at 3pm and closes at 4:30pm.
Can I attack or will I get attacked?:
No direct or intentional contact with another survivor or zombie is permitted (course monitors will be present). Zombies can go after runners' (Caution Tape) flags but cannot grab body parts, completely impede passage, or tackle. Runners cannot push other runners into zombies. No fake (or real) weapons allowed. Violators of this rule will be asked to leave the event.
