Event Description

Since 2010, Hope Springs Water has provided hope to the developing world through clean water, improved sanitation, and public health and hygiene education. Water scarcity affects 40% of the world’s population, with more than 1,000 children dying each day due to preventable water and sanitation-related illnesses. The profits from this year's race will be used to drill wells in Africa and Central America. What better way to show gratitude for clean water than by giving it to others? Run for water on Thanksgiving Day in Athens!

• Race Packet Pickup 3-5pm Wednesday, November 21st at Groom and Sons Hardware on S. Palestine in Athens.
• Race Day Registration begins at 7am
• 5K at 8am
• Mile Walk at 8:05am
