Event Description
The 2019 4th Annual Tampa Bay Whiskey Run on Saturday October 12, 2019, at Whiskey Joe's Waterfront Restaurant is prespented by Xanadu Race Management in cooperation with The City of Tampa. Again, this race is limited to 500 participants as it is one of the ONLY races in the world where you can participate in an organized event to run or walk WITH WATER ON BOTH SIDES! Our 2019 event offers A5K and 10K distance both beginning at 8:30 a.m. The half marathon distance is only available at the Tequila Run in February due to our warmer fall weather in Florida.
All participants will receive the very uique Tampa Bay Whiskey Run finisher's medal that won't disappoint as XRM is known for the best finisher's medals in the world. Participants will also receive a technical shirt as well as an electronically timed race.
From local Tampa Bay health enthusiasts to people who have visited Tampa Bay from all over the world, we’ve fallen in love with this beautiful fully paved fitness trail known as The Courtney Campbell Trail. Many of us have dreamed about participating in an event with water on both sides and this Bay run is one of the most classic in the world.
Both distances are timed with finishers medals for all and top finisher awards to the faster runners. The morning moves fast, we have a finite amount of registrants, and you will need to be on site in a timely manner in order to advance toward your start corral zones.
Our Xanadu races benefit the 501c3 Finish Lines for Scholarships So you will see many teen groups volunteering along the course. Parking is free and very convenient with instructions coming out to all pre registered participants on race week.
Both distances are an out and back course on the trail which is completely paved. Due to the narrowing areas of the trail we cannot allow baby strollers or pets. If you are a participant who requires a special device please contact race management so that we start you in the perfect wave to suit your needs.

We hope to have you at this one of a kind Tampa Bay Whiskey Run with a unique finisher's medal every year!
Both the 5K in the 10K distance will begin at 8:30 a.m. one hour after sunrise On Saturday October 12, 2019. Parking will be available at the Shrine headquarters parking garage or free at Ben T Davis beach until 11:00 a.m. An email will go out to all pre registered participants which will include your bib number assignment, parking instructions, and arrival information. Check in is race morning only.
Our post race party will present awards to the first 15 males and first 15 male finisher's in each distance. Overall finish times will be posted later on race day at www.727CanRace.com
