Event Description
The Annual Rage Triathlon at Lake Mead National Recreation Area on April 13th will kick-off the race season in southern Nevada. This epic desert race was started in 2001. Since 2013, it has been directed by Cedric Keppler and his experienced race coordinators. Rage offers an Olympic, Sprint and Long Course Triathlon. Yes, the Long Course will be introduced back to the line-up in 2019! The Long Course distance will also include the option to race the Aquabike and Duathlon.
Las Vegas has a subtropical hot desert climate, typical of the Mojave Desert in which it lies. The warm transitional seasons makes Rage the perfect Spring triathlon destination in the US. Triathlon clubs from across the region gather here to launch the multisport race season early. Rage has been recognized by Nevada triathletes as the “must-do” event to open their triathlon season.
The bike course is hilly, with the majority occurring on a section of Lakeshore Dr. that is located entirely within the national recreation area. The Olympic distance run will journey past the lush Boulder Beach campground, and turn onto the River Mountain Loop Trail. This course makes Rage one of the most scenic desert landscape triathlons in the region.
Enjoy the after-race party with music, post-race food, awards and lots of energy! Our staff and volunteers will be on-site to help you celebrate your accomplishment from the start to finish line, and beyond!
Las Vegas has so much to offer! Come for the entire weekend and make it a fun and memorable RACE-cation! If a weekend is not enough to see all the beauty in this area, extend your stay and be sure to come back for one of our other local races. You can check off one bucket list item each time you visit - there really is that much to see!

For our staff to focus their efforts on pre-race safety checks and race coordination, we do not encourage athletes to pick-up on race morning unless they have to. A $10 race day pick-up fee must be pre-paid online.
You can pay the $10 race day pick-up fee when you register, or pay using PayPal:

-Select the amount, payment method, and date of your payment
-Review your payment details and click Pay
-Your payment will be recorded by BBSC. You're all set for race day pick-up!

REMEMBER YOUR PHOTO ID AND USAT MEMBERSHIP CARD (if applicable) - It's a USAT requirement that all USAT annual members show proof of active membership.
