Event Description

The Thanksgiving feast is over, Black Friday is done; now it's time for you to get off the couch, leave the stores and head over to the trails! Join us on Saturday November 24, 2018 at the South Mountain Reservation in West Orange, NJ for The Squatchy Leftovers 5K & 10K trail run! This is a free fun run event: in lieu of a registration fee, we will be collecting donations for "Operation Chillout" and will finish the race with a potluck--bring your favorite post-race food or your Thanksgiving leftovers to share with everyone!

This is a runner/hiker friendly event and definitely family-friendly! Sign up for the 5K and run/hike 1 loop or sign up for the 10K and run/hike 2 loops. Both events will start at 9AM on Saturday November 24, 2018. Check-in is from 7:30AM-8:30AM; all runners must be checked-in by 8:30AM. We will have a race clock at the start/finish so runners can record their finish time when they complete the race. This is a self-supported fat-ass event! No finishers' swag, no aid stations and no whining (unless you don't see Sasquatch, then you can whine a little). We will provide water at the start/finish and there will be portapotty's at the trailhead. We invite you to join us for a post-race potluck! Bring you favorite post-race food (or leftover mashed potatoes) to share with everyone!
