Come In Your Best Cancer Color Outfit!!!! See If You Can Win The Most Colorful Costume Contest!!!! Rusty Melle and his wife Kelly (ITG Realty) started Coloring the Causeway years ago, after we lost Rusty's mother to Colon Cancer. We thought it would be a wonderful way to honor her fight and help locals and their families in their fight. Every year we work in conjunction with the Florida Marathon & 1/2 Marathon to put on a 5k walk over the Melbourne causeway and back. We encourage our walkers to dress in the cancer awareness color of their choice or in rain bow colors, like i do to show all the colors of cancer. We have two wonderful organizations who benefit from our walk; Florida CAncer Specialists Foundation & SCREW Cancer (Surviving Cancer Requires Eternal Will)

Start Location: Historic Downtown Melbourne on Front Street Length Of Walk: 5K (3.1 Miles) Up The Melbourne Causeway & Back

Pre-Registered Participants will receive a Collectors T-shirt Adults $25 Kids (12 and under) $10 *Entry in the Coloring the Causeway for a Cure is only for the 9:15 a.m. walk. Participants entered in the Florida Today 5k or 8k runs must enter them separately through www.smoothrunning.org
