Event Description
Reward yourself for all those hot summer days in the sun, with crisp air, picturesque New Mexico landscape and lots of fun! Join us for a family oriented, Halloween Themed charitable bike rides (Kids K, 12 Mile Rail Runner Family Ride, 9, 26, 50, 64, 100 & Timed Hill Climb for those that need a challenge). The 13th annual Day of the Tread has a treat for everyone. Whichever route you choose, all participants will enjoy a Saturday Health & Family Fitness EXPO, Sunday pre-event motivation gathering, post ride celebration on Albuquerque’s Civic Plaza with food, music and entertainment, courses full of music, themed recharge zones and crazy contests. Costumes are encouraged but not required; we will be awarding prizes for the best human costumes and best bike creativity (costumes encouraged but not required). So...If you like memorable routes filled with surprises, dressing up in costume, putting on face paint or wigs, come join us as your favorite monster, ghost, goblin or sugar skull. Participation ensures a ghoulish good time. Come join fun and show your support for Pegasus Legal Services for Children and other Children and Family charities.

12 miles is a perfect for the Munster Family that rides....
26 miles is guaranteed to blow the bats from your belfry…..
50 miles will get your heart racing making you thirst for more…..
64 miles will satisfy your flat course desires…..
100 miles will surely send the ghouls and goblins back to their graves….
Event details and schedule
Go to www.dayofthetread.com for all event details including downloadable ROUTE MAPS / ELEVATIONS. Enjoy the KIDS K, RAIL RUNNER FAMILY RIDE - 12 Miles (Participants enjoy a safe ride via the Bosque Trail to the Los Ranchos Rail Runner Station where volunteers assist the riders / bikes on to the Rail Runner Train, limit of 120 riders). The train travels to Downtown Albuquerque three blocks from the ride Finish / Celebration. TRAMWAY HILL CLIMB (4.2 Miles), This King / Queen of the Hill event challenges those riders who wish to add a element to their selected 50 or Century Rides. Riders will be chipped for accurate timing.
