Event Description

The Food Pantry 5k Run/Walk is an important fundraising effort organized by the Society of St Vincent de Paul to support the Sacred Heart Food Pantry.  It provides an opportunity for walkers and runners to participate in the mission of feeding the hungry in the communities we serve, while raising awareness of the challenges faced by the nation's needy. Each month the Pantry provides food to nearly 500 families. During the last 12 months, 35,000 bags of food were distributed to over 1,000 households in the towns of Carver, Lakeville, Middleboro and Rochester Massachusetts.

Event details and schedule

Registration begins at 8:30 am.  5k start time 10am.  Course: Begins and ends at John T. Nichols, Jr Middle School. 5k course is USATF certified. T-shirts to the 1st 300 registrants.

Age group medals & awards will be given for the top 3 male and felale: 0-18, 19-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Come help a great cause! Great refreshments. Listen to wonderful music while awaiting awards.
